After seeing how well one of these worked for my parents (for the past 3 years), I decided to get one for myself. I ordered it on a Monday and received it by Thursday. (A week ahead of expectation.) I've seen other reviews of this product and can tell you that its fan is NOT loud and it doesn't stink like burnt plastic when used. The remote control is a great feature and a plus. It's exactly what I expected. I saw it cheaper at Target ($34.98) but they were in season clearance sale and out of stock until next winter in the city where I live. With list price at around $132, this price is still a bargain.

When I was in Chicago, I tried radiant heat, oil encased heat, and other variations on a standard heater...this one is the best. It turns off at the right time and turns on before you notice you are getting chilly.

The only shortcoming is one of the ceramic heaters has started blowing cold air. The top heater is fine. I noticed because it doesn't get as warm as it used to. The temp starts at 70 degrees and increases to 85 degrees. When I set the temperature for 85 (just to test it, otherwise this is scorching hot), it stays between 75 and 77 degrees. When I first got this model, it used to remain at 85.

It has been 3 years and I have used it throughout the winter months, it might be about that time.
